The original can be found at https:\/\/187thahc.org, but is no longer being updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working on reformatting and\/or replacing some areas to provide additional information, these include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lost Brothers (KIA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alphabetical, changing format to include information from the Virtual Wall, as well as links to incident reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chronological, new section showing KIA in chronological order.  Includes links to individual posts as well as those KIA in other units after service in 187th AHC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>187th AHC Veterans Database<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a new addition.  It brings some of the veteran information we have into an online database.  This allows searching on keywords, filtering by topic, and sorting.  The names and information from the old site have been imported.  But there is much work to do to bring it to its eventual look.  This includes adding photos (then and now), medals, and any additional information about service in the 187th AHC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is updated with any new information submitted via the Member Database Update<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TAPS &#8211; Died After Vietnam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a new section progressing slowly.  New deaths are entered as we are notified, but catching up on past deaths will take time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-vivid-red-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-vivid-red-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"July-30-2024\"><\/span><strong>July 30, 2024<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Most (99%) of the files from the original website have been moved over and converted to the new format. I am now working on completing the pages for past reunions and then will start working on the Roster Database. Still a lot of clean up and editing work, so stay tuned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Past Reunion posts are migrated and in new format<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unit Roster origiinal pages are migrated, still need some editing to ensure photographs are linked properly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Added <a href=\"https:\/\/187thahc.net\/?page_id=13664\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"13664\"><strong>Site Menu<\/strong><\/a> to Finding Aids for quick and easy list of posts by category<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next prioirty is getting all the Lost Brothers into new format<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unit Roster Database will be an ongoing challenge as there is a need to update a few hundred entries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-vivid-red-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-vivid-red-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"June-26-2024\"><\/span><strong>June 26, 2024<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The migration of material from the original 187th AHC website to the new format is proceeding. The best way for me to report progress is what elements of the Main Menu (Top) have been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Orderly Room &#8211; all sections other that Unit Rosters are migrated\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unit Rosters &#8211; all pages with names migrated, gallery and slideshows complete through M<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unit History &#8211; all sections migrated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TINS &#8211; All sections migrated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Media\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Video &#8211; all sections migrated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photographs &#8211; work in progress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reunions &#8211; work in progress, mostly pages\/media for the past reunions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>187th Association &#8211; 99% complete except for the Assoication History page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Odd &amp; Ends &#8211; work in progress &#8211; mostly many more external links to add<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will continue to see minor changes in the menu structure. The menu is a way to organize and present the information and as new information is added, adjustments in organization and presentation are required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-vivid-red-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-vivid-red-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"May-26-2024\"><\/span><strong>May 26, 2024<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I have been converting articles from the original website over to the new format.&nbsp; The images from the original site are in a reduced size and format, as a result they do not size up very well and appear blurry. My apologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have posted a couple of videos, these were made from images on the website and clarity is somewhat lacking. A couple weere made with Google photos and have some &#8220;funky&#8221; music, sorry. Others were made with ShotCut and since I am just learning how to use that program, they probably will change as I learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see by the Web Statistics, we get visitors from around the world, but mostly its USA and then probably members of the 187th checking in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I invite your comments.&nbsp; You may comment on the articles withou registering and they are welcomed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estimate that the conversion is about 80% complete at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-vivid-red-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-vivid-red-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"May-20-2024\"><\/span><strong>May 20, 2024<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Presently I am in the process of moving over numerous articles\/images from the old website to the new format. I have also been working on finding the tools to allow ease of transition and best means to display in your browser.&nbsp; So you may see changes as I move forward or make tool changes.&nbsp; But I will say I am 95% complete on the basic structure and display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I have moved the following over into the new format:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;stories\/poems\/etc .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Videos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>187th Association files<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Veteran Info<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Headquarters, Lost Brothers, Unit Decorations, etc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unit History, Aircraft, Incident Reports, Lineage and honors, unit decorations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The following are being moved over in order of priority<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unit Roster &#8211; this is a large project, involves moving each roster by last name beginning letter along with photographs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unit Roster Photo Gallery &#8211; I have been researching various tools to make this go faster, so you may see changes as I progress.&nbsp; But for now photos will be displayed in a non-organized, as they are fashion.
