Good evening, My name is Aaron App and I am a Marine Corps veteran and current pilot with Collier County Sheriff’s Office in Naples Fl. Our agency is still putting a UH1H that was assigned to the 174th AHC to work doing SAR and Fire missions in support of Florida Forestry. Forestry is still actively using one of your old birds UH1H 64-13750 <\/strong>as N124FC, callsign Forestry 24. I was looking to get them any information or stories from any member of your unit that may remember flying her. Or get them challenge coins from your unit. As the CCSO has mounted the 174th’s challenge coins in the pedestal of our aircraft. I am just trying to keep some history alive in our area and keep people informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good day, I am Mark Jackson and in 2005 I bought a 1964 UH-1H serial number 64-13603 <\/strong>(which used to be a D model before being upgraded by CCAD). The Huey was stored at Davis Montham for 10 years. I have flown just over3200 hours with her, doing aerial fire-fighting in South Africa. I am still on duty with her. When I bought her I received the original US Army books, showing she flew with the 187th AHC in Vietnam, and she has a lot of small arms repairs to her fuselage. I own and operate 3 Huey’s ZS-HLA ZT-REV ZT-RLE and a 1981 UH60A Black Hawk ZT-RGA. My company is called Leading Edge Aviation, based in South Africa. I am busy writing a book and would appreciate any information from any members that might have flown in her. (603) I also flew operationally during the Rhodesian Bush War in the late ’70’s with AB Huey’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
