id=\"PREAMBLE\"><\/span><strong><a><\/a>PREAMBLE<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>WHEREAS, the objectives for which this Association is formed are to develop a climate for the renewal of old friendships among Veterans of the 187th\u00a0Assault Helicopter Company and all Units, personnel and family members who supported the Veterans before, during and after combat operations conducted in the Republic of Viet Nam during the years of 1967 through 1972, and to provide aid and assistance to the Veteran\u2019s and their immediate families as the Board of Directors, from time to time, deem just and proper; and to promote and encourage such other activities as deemed appropriate for the good of the public at large.\u00a0 This shall be a nonprofit earning Association that shall establish its principal office for the transaction of the Association business in the County of Orangeburg, South Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"CONSTITUTION-of-187th-Assault-Helicopter-Company-Association-Inc\"><\/span><strong><a><\/a>CONSTITUTION<br>of<br>187th&nbsp;Assault Helicopter Company Association, Inc.<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I.\u00a0 The name of the corporation is the \u201c187th\u00a0Assault Helicopter Company Association, Inc.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>II.\u00a0 The corporation is organized pursuant to the provisions of the South Carolina Nonprofit Corporation Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>III.\u00a0 The corporation shall have perpetual duration unless or until dissolved under Article IX below written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IV.\u00a0 The corporation is not for profit and is organized for the following purposes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To plan and execute activities which will stimulate the camaraderie of the aviation service members;\u00a0 to support activities which will promote improvement of the general welfare of the community; to develop projects of civil interest that will engender patriotic citizenship;\u00a0 to encourage communications between and assistance to veterans and surviving widows, children and siblings of veterans;\u00a0 to promote activities which provide encouragement for potential young military careerist to enter the Army Aviation military service;\u00a0 to engage in lawful business or related activities thereto; and to engage in any lawful act or activity for which corporations may be organized under the South Carolina Nonprofit Corporate Code and under IRS Section 501(C) (19) for Veterans\u2019 Organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V.\u00a0 Officers and Directors shall be elected as prescribed by the Association By-Laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VI.\u00a0 This corporation shall be empowered to conduct any and all activities, functions and business which relate to the proper operation of said corporation provided such actions are not inconsistent with the Corporation Code or any law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VII.\u00a0 The address of the initial registered office of the corporation is 122 Industrial Drive, Orangeburg, S.C. 29115, and the initial registered agent at such address is Mr. Kirk N.
