Quarterly Supplement 1 January 1972 through 14 February 1972

19 Jan 1972 – During the next to last Crusader combat assault, the Viet Cong reared their ugly heads.  After all the smoke had cleared the Rats, aircraft’s 002 and 046, had ten confirmed kills and one automatic weapon to add to their impressive total.

20 Jan 1972 – The Crusaders flew their last combat missions on this date and the long process of standing down began.
