187th AHC Website Information

The 187th Assault Helicopter Company (AHC) website is dedicated to memory of those members of the 187th AHC who served with the unit during the Vietnam War 1967-1972

The website has been operational since 1997. Originally started by Mike Hodges (Rat 38).  After Mike passed in 2016 various other members of the unit have taken on the role of webmaster.  These include, but are not limited to:

• Tom Stino
• Jim Gaffney
• Frank Keyser
•  Tom Martin (current)

The original 187th AHC web site can be viewed at 187thAHC.org

The site contains a large quantity of information about the 187th AHC.  Much of it contributed by members of the unit, as well as records from the National Archives and other Vietnam historical depositories.  If you have information to contribute, please contact the webmaster.

Currently the site is undergoing an update.  This update is being done to accomplish various goals.

• Keep the site relevant with current technologies
• Provide for ease of administration
• Ensure longevity of technologies

To accomplish these goals the following are in the process of being accomplished:

• Adoption of a Content Management System (WordPress)
• Change hosting provider to one specializing in WordPress hosting
• Ensure domain names are secure for the next 10 years

Funding for this site is provided by the 187th AHC Association
